Hi there. I’m the person who writes with dogs. I write with my dog, Deuce by my side, cheering me on and I write about dogs.

I often write about what it’s like to live with and learn from dogs. I also write about the many stages of life our dogs go through much too quickly. I dig into things like holistic options for dogs, ways to keep your senior dog as healthy as possible and all the fun of having a puppy and an adolescent dog in your house.

I cover topics like training for real people and their dogs and focus on rewarding good behavior versus dominating your companion. I get the fine line between being a benevolent leader and a tyrant.

My experience with dogs started with my first family pet, Tumble T. Tiger, a beautiful and wise pure-bred collie who was gifted to us from the Parish Priest.

As a professional I started my boutique pet-care company in ’02 in Alexandria, VA and spent the following 5 years growing the business, learning to train dogs (and their humans) and writing hundreds of articles about pets and their care. I was the Points on Pets Columnist for the Old Town Crier and have written for regional and local publications on the topic of dogs and their care since 2004.

As a freelance writer I specialize in copy for pet-sitting business owners, ghost-writing for people who want to write the story of their pets and writing for publications around the US.

If there’s something you want to know about dogs – don’t hesitate to ask!
